Go to theStartbutton, selectProgramsand then Internet Explorer and then Connection Wizard.

 Starting Up the Connection Wizardwindow
 
 This will open a series of Windows in which you will be requested to answer some questions.
The first selection requires you to set up a new or existing account.

Select the second option "I have an existing Internet account..." ClickNext.

The next option to choose is "Select this option if you are accessing the Internet using an Internet service provider or a local area network (LAN)"and clickNext.

The next figure requires you to check"Connect using my phone line", Click Next

Set Up Your Internet Connection

Depending on the existing configurations in your machine, Windows 98 will lead you through serics of installation features. These may include "Add New Hardware Wizard" and "Install New Modem". Follow the Windows 98 prompts but do not restart  the computer as yet. Once the modem and additional hardware is installed continue to create a Dial-Up connection.

Enter the telephone number that is local to you. Then click on Next
The phone numbers are HERE.

Next, enter your Usename and Password. The username is the first part of your email address and must be lower-cased. The password is case-sensitive. Click on Next.

Next, select"Yes"to change the Advanced Settings. Click on Next.

Select"PPP"as the Connection Type. Click on Next.

Select"I don't need to type anything when logging on". Click on Next.

Select"My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one".Click on Next.

Select"Always use the following". The DNS information is:

DNS Server:                      209.2.156.20
Alternate  DNS Server:    209.191.139.131

   Please name the Connection ODG. Click on Next.

 Now set up the Internet Mail Account. Click on"Yes"and then the Next button

 Enter your personal name or company name here. Click on Next.

Step #13 graphic

 Enter your email address here. This will be your username@savvy.net or username@yourdomain as applicable.

The entries here are for the mail servers.

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server
pop3.savvy.net

Outgoing mail (SMTP) Server
smtp.savvy.net

Internet Mail Logon. Enter your username as your POP account name. Click on Next.

Click on the Finish button to complete the Configurations.

In order to connect to the internet, go to My Computer and then double-click on Dial-Up Networking . Select the appropriate connection and enter your username and password, click on Connect. Once connected, open any Internet application.
